MOTOR VILLAGE AWARDED BEST DEALER WEBSITE ACCOLADE IN TOP HONOURS

Further proof of the growing stature of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' flagship dealer Motor Village UK was seen last night (8 February) when it received the top honour for Best Dealer Website in the 2018 AM Awards.

The accolade, presented at a glittering ceremony in Birmingham's International Convention Centre, recognised the innovation, design, customer impact and popularity of the London-based Motor Village's website, which was launched last summer following a major redesign and redevelopment.

With so many aspects to the Motor Village core proposition, and with the need to cover all the FCA brands: Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep and Abarth, there was a huge design challenge to solve.

Key to this was ensuring customers visiting the website were able to find the information they were looking for on the new or used vehicle they were interested in. Aftersales and fleet customers also had to be included in the planning, while copy had be written with the customer in mind and with a focus on quality, along with inspirational video and images to inspire interest and, ultimately, a purchase.

All of these elements were considered and recognised by the AM Award panel of judges, which included Stephen Briers, editor-in-chief, AM; Tim Rose, editor, AM; Jeremy Bennett, associate editor, AM; and a selection of leading directors, executives and consultants from across the automotive industry.

"The 2017 iteration of Motor Village's website sees the brand clearly represented, with an ease of user navigation across new and used cars, aftersales and fleet a benchmark for the industry," says Stephen Briers.

"In its design the website clearly demonstrates excellent page layout, structure and hierarchy of content - while imparting a message of brand strength. Copy tailored to consumers is supported by a host of video and images to inspire enquiries and lead generation. An eye on SEO performance rightly influenced site structure, architecture and content development."

"We are delighted to receive this highly important award from such an esteemed panel of expert judges," says Rob Calver, managing director, Motor Village. "We have made the website very dynamic with some excellent videos, so that potential customers can see and hear our cars in action.

"We are in the process of adding a Used Car module, and will continue to develop and update the website. I am confident that it will lead to increased interest in our products and hopefully, some additional sales."

Motor Village has branches in central London (Marylebone) and Croydon, and operates a service centre in Battersea, London.
